Now this is really our last project…

Paul and I (and you, if you’ve been reading for a while) have lived through a number of projects on our house here in Mazatlán. And while it has been challenging for me to live with the dust and the pounding and the need to restrict the dogs, every project we’ve done has been very worthwhile. We have never shared pictures of our bathroom-dressing room because it was always a bit strange. The room was way too big and the...

Getting up to speed

More project updates!  Here’s the cool top on the kiosko at Plazuela Zaragoza!  I love it! And see the nice spiral staircase going up to the top?  I imagine Danzón on Thursdays will be restarted pretty soon, too. There is a project to repave around the Plazuela Machado.  Everyone was shocked that the city started this job last week, just when our winter tourist season is about to start!  And given the slow progress at the other civic projects in...

And to figure out what is going on with the kiosko.  But they have replanted the beds...

No drama here.

The temperature and humidity around here keeps cranking up and up.  Sometimes when I get up at night I can’t believe how soupy it is just outside our air conditioned room. We still mostly run the air conditioners at night, but with occasional cool siesta times, too.  We are getting tired of sleeping in the air conditioning – I hate the constant rumble and the air movement makes my eyes water. A couple of nights recently the power has gone...
