Paul and I had such a nice day yesterday!  We did some cleanup as our sala fresca project is almost over.  We bought groceries.  We made a delicious vegetable soup.  And as evening came we put on some music and headed outside to the patio to read.

It was one of those nights to remember, for me.  The music was perfect - Rodrigo y Gabriela.  If you don’t know them, (or if you do) check out the video, below.

The music, an adult beverage, and the sounds of the city made it nice… but then the wind came up, a gusty wind that rustled in the bamboo and cooled us off nicely.

    Henry loved the cool grass.

Lucy hoarded her toys under the watchful eye of the Virgen of Guadalupe. (the only surviving mural tile)

I drifted in the hammock chair while Paul read.  After some time the lightning started, and I went to the roof.  I laid on the roof watching the lightning all around me for quite a long time.  It was so cool up there, and the lightning was spectacular.  It was heat lightning, just sort of growled as the entire sky was lit up again and again.

After we had gone to bed it started raining, and Paul got up to do window patrol.  In the morning it felt cool and fresh and clean.
