We’re into full-on summer weather here.  Summer vacation season is getting underway, too, and the hotels and beaches are filling up.  There is a festive, happy feel in town.  I like it.

We’ve had some rain, a couple of good downpours lately.  That means the concrete has cooled off.  So, we are more comfortable in the house, and even though we can get pretty sweaty when we do projects, it is just fine. I do think it is funny that I have to hang my dirty clothes on the line to dry them before I put them in the hamper or they’ll mildew.

Our sala fresca project continues, and they are making great progress.  I’ve posted more photos on the Sala Fresca Photos Page and will be adding more as things continue to come together.  I love the new window opening and the viga/monito support structure.  Our contractor tells us the windows are refinished now and I imagine we’ll see them get installed sometime next week.

I’m ready for that, too.  It is pretty restrictive to have people in your house all the time, and Paul and I both are a little tired of being up and dressed and ready to let them in at 7 am.  We’d pretty much gotten out of the habit of having to do anything, you know!

I finished my salitre treating and repainting project, or phase one of it anyway.  So the house looks fresh and nice. I hope it stays that way for a while!
