but tonight Mazatlán just felt different.  Active.  Happy.  Out and About.

You know things are bad if you can keep a Mexican city down on a Friday night, especially a Friday night of a long weekend.

We went out to the malecon this evening and everyone is OUT,  Walking, sitting in restaurants eating and drinking, walking dogs, roller blading, cruising in cars and pulmonias, all of it.  And I have to say, it felt good.

When we got home I had a Facebook message from Centro Historico saying that the Plazuela Machado was open as usual.  There is noise, and chatter, and only two facemasks visible in several hours.

So, whether they say it on CNN or not, it feels OVER to me.
