In Mazatlan, Norbert was nothing.  We got some churned up water and big waves, but not even any hoped-for rain.

Bloggers Brenda and Bliss reported nothing but a bit of rain in Guaymas and San Carlos.

But new Alamos residents Linda and Bill have written two posts about the devastation in Alamos Saturday night.  They are fine, but the town really took a hit.  Lives were lost.  Cars every which way, homes destroyed.  It is really terrible.  What little information I’ve found on the web indicates that three were drowned in flooding and two are still missing.

I hope that we hear something in the near future about what is going on with the relief effort.
