It's crazy how many there are! But stop to look...they are ALL vacation rental property management companies and one day, soon I am guessing, they will not be able to rent the vacation rentals out. Therefore, Owners are going to look for other avenues to minimize their losses...long-term rentals. There is not really a resource for expats and locals for long term rentals. With the growth in the Riviera Maya, surely not everyone that will be living in the area will be able to afford to buy a home. This is where I come into play. Not looking to make a gazillion dollars, but eventually there will be a need for this type of resource; especially an honest one with experience in long term rentals. I know when I was first looking to move to Playa, I could not get anyone to help me with a long term rental. The solution that 99% of the people I asked gave was to get to Playa, stay in a hotel for a week or two and walk the streets looking for For Rent signs. Not sure about you but I would venture to guess not many people moving to a different country would be comfortable lugging their stuff down without any idea of where they were going to live. As a former property manager myself I can't even imagine wanting to do it when any problem would spoil their vacation or when a hurricane could hit. More blogs to read! LOL! It constantly amazes me that so many people think that they can make a living at property management in Playa del Carmen. Besides all of the people already there trying to make a living, we have the two recent guys from Boston and now Kami and Dave. Should be interesting to watch all of these people fight for clients! I do wish somebody decent and trustworthy would set up that business here on the island. I'd hire them just to get me a tank of gas! Just what I need. More blogs to read! LOL!
