I’ve been reading on various blogs from the Yucatan and Quintana Roo that they are expecting winds and rain coming from the fringes of Ike.

We had rain most of the day overnight and today.  And a big lightning storm on Sunday night.

Now we are expecting tropical storm Lowell to pass over Baja Wednesday night and hit here sometime Friday.

I put a link to a video I took Sunday night of the thunder and lightning on the Videos page at the top.  It was about ten times louder than the video recorded, and both dogs were anxiously pacing.  We are trying to convey to them through our actions that thunder and lightning are “no big deal” and it seems to have helped a bit.

Tomorrow we head to immigración for our one year renewal of our FM3’s.  We are amazed we have been here so long!
