Of course, we knew it would be, but we never thought it would be this good!

Although, Friday when Paul and I went out for Day of the Dead festivities, Henry (the dog) got into the room with the sand the salitre repair guys are using and tracked it all over the house! So a fair bit of time Saturday was spent vacuuming and mopping. But the house gleamed afterwards, which is amazing given the amount of dust that gets in from our courtyard remodel job in spite of my plastic on the doors.

Last night we decided at the last minute to head over to the Plazuela República and listen to the Sinaloa Symphony orchestra and tenor José Manuel Chú perform an Homage to Pedro Infante. It was a wonderful concert. Lots and lots of people. Most know the songs, and sing along sometimes. Families together. Couples swaying in time to the music.

Afterward we walked over to the Plazuela Machado for a drink and a bite to eat. The square was an incredibly happy and congested place. Lots of vendors and kids learning to paint. I love Saturday night in México.

And Sunday morning walking on the malecon is wonderful, too. If you’re out early it is populated mostly by cleaning people, walkers, joggers, and people doing sit-ups on the sea wall.

We earned a relaxing day after all our work yesterday, so in reward I finished a book and we bought ourselves a new bedspread. I’ll spare you the dog story that goes along with that one!

Below is a short video of the concert last night.
