WOW. Our second garage sale was today. And what a crazy day it was. Everything sold except a few ragtag things that can go in an easy trip to Goodwill.

So now we have only a mattress and box springs on the floor, a plastic table in the kitchen with two outdoor chairs, and nothing else! We even sold the tv and all of our books! I guess we’ll be heading to the library and using our computers for entertainment for the next few weeks!

I am totally exhausted, but we did have fun talking to everyone about Mexico. The sign we put up really brought them in, and lots of people are seriously jealous of us!

We made $1,300, and we are thrilled to be living in an empty place until the house closes. It feels even more real than it had – if that is possible.

We also sold Paul’s car today. We had been fretting about it a bit since it really is a pain in the neck to sell a car yourself – but an interested person emailed this morning from our Craigslist ad, and he came out this afternoon to see it. He is an established executive in Seattle and he gave us a deposit to hold the car while he arranges financing. Perfect.

So, it was another big day for us. We are too tired for much celebrating but I think we will head down to the local tavern for some food and a drink. Then I guess we lie on the bed and read for the evening!
